This April, celebrate the nocturnal world and explore the night sky. During International Dark Sky Week (April 5-12), Miami-Dade residents, businesses, and visitors are encouraged to #DiscoverTheNight by participating in fun and educational activities at home, close to home, or virtually on the web. Visit MiamiDarkSky.org for a calendar of events by community partners. It also includes activities, stories, film clips, and other resources to learn how artificial light at night affects humans, wildlife, ecology, and the climate; and how to protect and restore the health and wonder of the night in Miami-Dade, in the Everglades, in the Florida Keys, and beyond. A world with less light pollution offers us countless wonders and saves energy too! Let’s #DiscoverTheNight.
