Welcome
Florida National Parks Association
The Florida National Parks Association is an official private, non-profit partner of the National Park Service that supports educational, interpretive, historical, and scientific research activities in South Florida’s National Parks. Visit our parks, donate, become a member, or purchase our Florida Bay Forever specialty plate. Your support benefits Big Cypress National Preserve, Biscayne National Park, Dry Tortugas, and Everglades National Park.
Biscayne National Park
Biscayne National Park encompasses coral reefs, islands and shoreline mangrove forest in the northern Florida Keys. Its reefs and islands are accessible only by boat.
Big Cypress National Preserve
Big Cypress National Preserve, America’s first national preserve, supports a diverse freshwater ecosystem home to the endangered Florida panthers, black bears, alligators and more than 30 varieties of orchids.
Dry Tortugas National Park
Almost 70 miles (112.9 km) west of Key West lies Dry Tortugas National Park. The area is known for its famous bird and marine life, its legends of pirates and sunken gold, and its military past.
Everglades National Park
Everglades National Park is the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. The area boasts rare and endangered species, such as the American crocodile, Florida panther, and West Indian manatee.
Supporting our mission is now more crucial than ever.
Since its inception in 1951, the Florida National Parks Association has provided more than $5.4 million dollars in aid to the National Park Service areas of South Florida.
