The World Heritage List, with more than 1,000 registered sites, is the contemporary successor to the ancient list of the wonders of the world. To be included on the list, sites must possess a natural or cultural significance that makes them of outstanding universal value. The Passport Commemorative Series booklet highlights the 23 sites in the United States that have been selected and inscribed on the World Heritage List. As you visit each site, get your booklet stamped in the small box in the lower corners of each page.
